Latest B&B Ireland Customer Reviews
We really enjoyed our stay at the Shelmalier House. We arrived early after an overnight flight and were immediately welcomed and made comfortable. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. Main dinner options were in the village but there was a Spar a block away that also served hot food. The breakfast was delicious. I cannot say enough nice things about this place.
Jim was a very nice host, professional without losing the warm friendly Irish welcome. They have been in business for a very long time and it shows in their work. The B&B almost felt like a small hotel. After showing us our room, Jim gave us a good recommendation for dinner and great directions for avoiding the detour caused by construction, both of which were very much appreciated. The room was spacious and clean. There was a book giving a thorough listing of things to do in the area, recommendations for dinner and even numbers for emergencies (like the local doctor). Their breakfast menu, printed on a little menu book, was full of wonderful choices. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. The only downside was that it was very difficult to see down the road when exiting the property. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends.
The facilities were very nice and we enjoyed a refreshing walk around the neighborhood. Great location. Bountiful breakfast with thoughtful amenities everywhere
Very hospitable. Could not fault the rooms, the breakfast, the service or the features and facilities. The only issue for us was proximity and availability of good dinner options. They were a good drive away, and hard to find. We did though finally find a cracker.
Before we even arrived, I was appreciative that our hosts provided instructions as to how to get to their home. This was extremely helpful. Upon arrival Jim greeted us, got us settled in, gave us some dinner suggestions took us for a mini tour of the city and dropped us of for dinner. The beds were comfy, breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I would definitely recommend Shelmalier House and would stay there again, hopefully for more than one night
